Reiki (In-person & Distance)

• Reiki is a Japanese form of energy healing and is considered an alternative/complementary therapeutic service. Reiki focuses on balancing the body's energy or aura, by way of universal (life force) energy. Practitioners of Reiki channel the universal energy through their hands in order to bring healing to the recipient. Reiki can be conducted either hands-on or hands-off and is done either in-person or via distance. 
  • Reiki sessions may include the use of essential oils, soothing music/sounds, and crystals.
• It is thought that the Universal energy will flow to the areas in body that are in need. Reiki has been associated with decreasing stress and anxiety, calming the body and mind. It has also been linked to supporting spiritual, mental, and emotional well-being and healing. 
• Please note that Reiki is experienced differently by everyone. Although Reiki is considered non-invasive and non-harmful, one may still experience side effects from their Reiki session that may last up to 48 hours. These can include but are not limited to exhaustion, intense emotions, nausea, dehydration, and headaches. After a Reiki session it is important to stay hydrated and get plenty of rest and engage in self-care.
• Also note that Reiki is used as an alternative/complementary service only, clients should not cease any medical treatments, including medication regimen, without consulting with their physician, psychiatrist or other medical care professional. 
• Reiki sessions are separate from therapy sessions and the two cannot be combined at this time. 
  • In-person & Distance Reiki sessions are available to NC residents, and Distance Reiki sessions are available to MD residents.
• ​Reiki certification/training courses will be available at a later date.

Strategic and Transformational Life Coaching (Beginning Jan. 5th!)

• Life coaching in general is a process in which a coaching professional assists clients with reaching their goals for change and maximizing their overall potential. Life coaching can offer guidance in various areas of one's life including relationships, business, and life purpose among others. 
• Sessions focus on assisting the client in establishing and attaining their desired goals for optimal change by implementing and adhering to a personalized action plan. Coaches help to motivate and inspire clients to take accountability and work through areas in life where they are stagnant in order to reach their full potential.
• Strategic vs. Transformational coaching:
  • My approach to strategic life coaching identifies the core of the problem the client is having and utilizes specific strategies and interventions to elicit change in the area of focus. In terms of transformational coaching, I incorporate similar strategies and interventions to not only elicit change but to help the client transform their life and heal any past issues that may interfere with their growth on both the conscious and unconscious levels. For many, this may take the form of addressing various archetypes and engaging in shadow work. This process allows clients to shift their perspectives of themselves and their life experiences by addressing their negative core beliefs and perceived limitations, all while helping them to be their true authentic selves and discovering their life purpose.
• Life coaching is available to adult U.S. residents and is available either in-person (local NC residents only) or virtually. 
• Life coaching sessions are separate from mental health therapy sessions and the two cannot be combined at this time. Please note: if you are a life coaching client, I am in no way acting or serving as your mental health therapist/professional. Entering into a coaching relationship with me is not a substitution for professional mental health care and you are encouraged to have a mental health professional to help you address any mental health needs or concerns.
